What is Memory:-

Memory can refer to any medium of data storage, it is usually referred to as RAM. Memory can be two types as follow:-



Primary Memory :

Primary memory is also known as the main/temporary/volatile memory. This kind of memory is available in the form of the silicon chip and assembled on the mainboard.

Secondary Memory:

It is the permanent storage memory and non-volatile in nature. Secondary memory required because of RAM is volatile in nature and limited storage space.RAM is also costlier than secondary memory storage devices.

There are two main operations that are performed in secondary storage devices (Read and Write)


Operating System (OS)

An operating system is system software that manages computer hardware and software resources provides required services that are the demand by computer programs.




Types of OS


An operating system that can only run one program at a time is known as single-tasking OS.

World Wide Web (WWW)

The World Wide Web is a system of internet servers that supports hypertext to access several Internet protocols on a single interface. The WWW was developed in 1989 by Tim Berners-Lee of the European Particle Physics Lab (CERN) in Switzerland.
