How the Internet is connected to the Home/Office

A computer at home can get access to the internet via an ISP (Internet service provider).ISPs provide an internet connection to your home mostly via cables. These cable connections can be Dialup, Broadband, DSL, ADSL, Fiber optic, etc. A device called a modem is used to connect the WAN (Wide Area Network) to the LAN (Local Area Network).   Wi-Fi routers are used at home /offices to access wireless internet. 

Cellular data Internet connection (Wireless) is used in smartphones, tablets, etc. Any smartphone user can activate the data pack plan from the registered mobile operator. Cellular data network speed varies according to 2G, 3G,4G, and 5G networks as provided by Mobile operators.
